Activities: Artist Talk and BBQ

This week we came together for our first artist talk of the 35th round, where we got to see some of each artist’s previous work and hear about their methods, processes, and what they are hoping to accomplish during the program. This opened new avenues for dialogue and collaboration, and gave the artists a chance to reflect on their own work as well as others’, discovering common threads, interfaces, and approaches through group discourse. This is a taste of the collaboration and exchange that will be occurring in our studio during the next months, leading to our upcoming shows and final group exhibition. We also had a barbecue and got to know each other in a more casual setting. We are looking forward to seeing what this group comes up with!
