The project “PILOTENKUECHE” invites within the “International Internship Program” enthusiasts to support the team. We offer our interns direct insight into the workflow of our international art program, a chance to connect with artists and expand of your personal network. Our concept strives to create a communal space for experimental collaboration and discourse between participants, as well as with the greater Leipzig community.
Interning at an artist program is not boring. You will gain experience in the field of press and public relations, curation, event planning, as well as with all practical matters of maintaining the program. This internship may also be incorporated into your university program credentials.
Our art program is a multifaceted. In supporting our residency, each intern is involved in our team to facilitate the realization of the programmed activities such as studio visits, gallery tours and our exhibitions. We are open for individual ideas to bring into the art program. The primary languages in use are English and German.
EXPECTATIONS TO THE INTERN
We expect openness, good English / German skills, a hands-on mentality, flexibility and the ability to work independently, paired with a basic interest in contemporary art. Interns work a maximum of 20 hours /week for a period of 3 months.
Who can apply?
Enthusiasts from disciplines or studies related to the field of art and art history as well as to philosophy, architecture and social science are invited to send us a proposal. We are open to inquiries from foreign practices if their interest in the internship is related to our concept. The applicant will be invited for a personal interview. Details will be discussed therinafter.
